Skunk Anansie have shared another track from their upcoming album.
Opening with lone haunting vocals from lead singer Skin, Lost And Found finds the British rockers dialling back their signature fierce alt-rock sound for a more stripped back, dramatic offering that utilises a staccato piano motif.
The song serves as the third preview of 'The Painful Truth', following Cheers and An Artist Is An Artist. It comes with a video written and directed by Skin, and shot in Munich by the band and India Fleming. Skin commented:
"We wanted to evoke the loneliness and desperation that can occur in a split second by one tiny mistake. Any of us at any time can lose the security built up over a lifetime whether it be via an accident, or a sudden twist of fate."
Produced by David Sitek of TV On The Radio, the follow-up to 2016's 'Anarchytecture' is due out on May 23 via FLG Records.
The band are currently touring the UK and play a show in Cambridge tonight (April 8). They'll also perform as part of the Good Times at The Ridings series in Chipping Sodbury on the day of the record's release, with support from Republica, RXPTRS and IDESTROY, ahead of dates in Europe in June and July.
They'll also support The Smashing Pumpkins at shows in London and Colchester in August. Tickets are on sale now.
