Stereolab Announce New Album 'Instant Holograms On Metal Film' And Accompanying Tour Dates

Stereolab have announced their first new album in 15 years.
The electronic and avant-pop group will release 'Instant Holograms On Metal Film' through their own label Duophonic UHF Disks/Warp Records on May 23, following up 2010's 'Not Music' and 2008's 'Chemical Chords'.
Among its 13 songs are contributions from Bitchin' Bajas' Cooper Crain and Rob Frye, International Anthem's Ben LaMar Gay, Ric Elsworth, Cavern Of Anti-Matter's Holger Zapf, Marie Merlet, and Molly Hansen Read.
As a preview, Stereolab have shared the record's hypnotic first single, Aerial Troubles, which serves up their signature blend of poppy upbeat grooves and comes with a Laurent Askenzy-directed video.
Stereolab will embark on an international tour this spring, with dates in North America, Europe and the UK lined up through to the end of the year. Tickets for their European and North American dates go on general sale at 10am local time today (April 8). Tickets for their UK shows go on sale at 10am GMT tomorrow (April 9).
