Red Hot Chili Peppers' John Frusciante has spoken of his unhappy time while writing material for the bands new album 'Stadium Arcadium'.
The prolific guitarist has also revealed that he found the mixing of the album "a drag", but is now looking forward to being able to relax and meditate.
Speaking about working on the new album, Frusciante says, "It wasn't a happy experience - I went through a lot of weird phases and did a lot of worrying."
"Mixing the album was a drag because it's not a very creative process. But now we're going into a freer period of time. I can meditate and practice more now."
'Stadium Arcadium' has now spent three weeks at the top of the album charts, and became the bands first US Billboard debut week No. 1 in the USA.
