Not that I’m saying most folk music often tends to be boring, mostly dirge and an excuse for an apparently chronically depressed misfit to spout poetry to random, largely music-free strums of a guitar, don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that at all. I’m just saying Mumford & Sons are a little more interesting than what you’d normally associate with folk… if you were prejudiced about folk music… which I’m not.
Next year’s shows will be the band’s biggest headline shows to date, and includes a night at Shepherd's Bush Empire. The tour follows widespread critical acclaim for their recently released debut album, ‘Sigh No More’ which entered the UK album chart at 11.
Mumford & Sons’ recently announced London Winter Fair show at St Martin In The Fields Church sold-out yesterday in just two minutes. Two Minutes. Kapow! They release their new single, ‘Winter Winds’ on the 7th December, and conclude the year with a set of dates across India. India. That’s pretty folky.
