To do the man fair, he was just insanely popular for a while and has held on to a fair few of those fans. He’s made around eighteen albums with platinum among them, he once wrote a song with Bob Dylan, has written songs for acts as varied as Kiss, Kenny G and Barbara Streisland, played guitar with BB King and is a tireless campaigner against poverty. Can a man do all that and still be crap?
Yes. Some cold, soul-less individuals would say yes. They’ll answer for that when they pass into the after-life and discover the creator has the Best of Michael Bolton in his record collection. Not that they’d see that, they’re heading in a more southerly direction.
Michael’s new album ‘One World One Love’ was released in September and features, amongst others, a collaboration with Lady Gaga. He’s still got it.
