Motion City Soundtrack announce new tour & tickets

A question that has followed Motion City Soundtrack through their career is: what exactly are they? Are they pop, are they punk, are they moog synthesizer enthusiasts? Of course, two more important questions are: who cares and when are they playing? The answer to the second question is ‘March’Click Here to Compare & Buy Motion City Soundtrack Tickets

Yes, the Minneapolis boys are coming to the UK this March to perform some storming concerts consisting of screaming fans, guitars and music of a non-specific, guitar-based flavour. To me, they sound like pop-punk, just heavier on the pop than the punk. Damn, now I’m doing it.

The bands’ most recent album was 2008’s ‘My Dinosaur Life’, so expect some songs from that. They’ve been working on new material, but it’s been hampered by their drummer, Tony Thaxton, breaking his arm, possibly by falling over after having a few. Thaxton himself insists that he had a ‘Gun Reduction’ because his biceps were getting too big to handle.

MCS are playing:

MARCH 24 - O2 Academy2 Oxford, Oxford
MARCH 26 - Electric Ballroom Camden, London
MARCH 27 - Academy 2, Manchester
MARCH 28 - O2 Academy2, Birmingham
