The veteran Boogie Rockers have had 22 singles in the UK top ten, more Top Of The Pops appearances than any other band and, in ’91, the band got a Brit award for outstanding contribution to music. They deserved it; Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt have spent over 417 weeks in the British Singles Charts, that’s the equivalent of eight years. In ‘91, the guys were awarded a Brit for their Outstanding Contribution to Music.
They’re famous for making all of their tunes from the same three chords, which, if nothing else, marks them out as pretty versatile. Not a band to ignore criticism for more than a decade or two however, their last album was called ‘In Search of the Fourth Chord’
