Without Spandeau Ballet, the 80s would have been a smaller, bleaker place, with less eye-make up and frilly shirts. As a band, they were inspired by the New Romantics, a movement that apparently didn’t get its name until they became part of it. Says it all.Click Here to Compare & Buy Spandau Ballet Tickets
The band split up in 89, after the Kemps got a taste of acting with their starring roles in ‘The Krays’. It was a messy split that saw people being sued, high profile arguments in the press and almost certainly ruined mascara. It took until 2009 for them to get back together for a world tour.
The tickets for the London shows sold out in 20 minutes and eventually four more dates were added to the tour. In October 2009, they released their new album ‘Once More’ and the single of the same name.
Now, they’ve announced two outdoor shows for the summer:
June 03 - Sandown Park Racecourse, Esher
June 25 - Newmarket Racecourse
