Aussie hard rocking legends AC/DC are to soundtrack the forthcoming blockbuster movie sequel ‘Iron Man 2’.
Formed at the peak of the progressive rock era, the iconic group reduced rock music to a cut-throat boogie with howling guitar solos. You could easily call them one of the biggest rock bands of all time, and you'd be right to do so. The band’s outstanding live shows and filthy lyrics have established themselves as cult heroes and even today they are worshipped by a new generation of rock fans. The group claimed their rock titan status after breaking the United States with awesome 1980’s album, ‘Back In Black’.
In more recent news however, after releasing their 15th studio album in 2008, AC/DC are now set to soundtrack the forthcoming blockbuster movie ‘Iron Man 2’. The sequel will feature fifteen songs from the band’s outstanding back catalogue – no doubt setting the pace of Tony Stark's stunning action scenes!
The movie is set for release on April 30th and the soundtrack album will be available from April 19th. With the band standing firm with their decision not to compile a ‘Best Of’, preferring fans to pick apart their career album by album, the soundtrack should be a good opportunity to hear a selection of AC/DC classics. Opening with Back in Black album track ‘Shoot To Thrill’, the soundtrack album will be an excellent collection of the band’s back catalogue. Trawling through the ages the album also features Bon Scott screamers such as ‘If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It) and closing track ‘Highway To Hell’.
The AC/DC forthcoming ‘Iron Man 2’ soundtrack is released on April 19th, with the following tracklisting:
'Shoot To Thrill'
'Rock 'N' Roll Damnation'
'Guns for Hire'
'Cold Hearted Man'
'Back In Black'
'Thunderstruck'
'If You Want Blood (You've Got It)'
'Evil Walks'
'T.N.T.'
'Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be'
'Have A Drink On Me'
'The Razor’s Edge'
'Let There Be Rock'
'War Machine'
'Highway To Hell'
