The Gaslight Anthem Reveal UK Tour Dates & Tickets

The Gaslight Anthem have announced that they will be embarking on a short tour of the UK following the release of their third album ‘American Slang’ this summer.
The new album is the follow up to 2008’s ‘The ’59 Sound’ and will be released on June 14th. To support the release of the new record the band will kick off their five-date headline UK tour in Birmingham on June 22nd, visiting Glasgow, Manchester and London before wrapping up in Oxford on June 29th.
2009 was an epic year for The Gaslight Anthem, the band toured the world and were top performers at major worldwide festivals including Glastonbury. With ‘The ’59 Sound’ being announced as one of the best albums of 2009 by magazines such as NME, Kerrang and Q Magazine the band also won the “Best International Newcomer” award at last year’s Kerrang! Awards.
Now working hard recording the third album ‘American Slang’ The Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon said that the new album will see the band move away from emulating the music that influences them.
"For the last record we looked really into it and we asked 'What are our influences and how do we jam them in?' And on this one, we're writing songs that we feel are relevant to us," he explained.
In addition, The Gaslight Anthem have already confirmed that they will play two German festivals this summer. The band will be appearing at the Southside Festival on June 19th and the Hurricane Festival on June 20th.

29th Academy 1, Oxford
