The Big Pink Announce May UK Tour & Tickets

Having decided to take a break from having their songs on adverts, The Big Pink have announced details of a six-date UK tour in May later this year.

The London duo, who are currently on the road as part of the NME Awards Tour, will start their tour at the O2 Academy in Oxford on May 7th. Stopping off at most of the major cities in England and Scotland, the jaunt will end with a big show at London’s Forum on May 13th.

The pair started their electro-rock sound back in 2007, taking their name ‘The Big Pink’ from the debut album by vintage rock group The Band. The duo’s drone-led soundscapes and dreamy vocals put them somewhere in the same category as MGMT, and for those who have not gotten their fill of recent singles ‘Velvet’ and ‘Dominos’, the new tour should provide the perfect opportunity to see why they were awarded the prestigious NME Philip Hall Radar Award for best new act last year.

The Big Pink will play the following UK dates:

May

7th O2 Academy, Oxford
8th Sheffield Leadmill
9th Glasgow Garage
11th Manchester Ritz
12th O2 Academy, Birmingham
13th London Forum

Tickets are available to buy from 9am on Friday 12th February.
