The Killers have assured fans worldwide that they are not splitting up, after a series of tour date cancellations. Currently in Australia, the Las Vegas band had pulled out of three shows in the coming week.
Shows affected were for Sydney tomorrow (Feb 12th) and two appearances at the Good Vibrations festival this weekend. The band issued a statement apologising to fans, explaining that it was “due to the severity of the illness of a close family member”.
Brandon Flowers and the gang have promised that they intend to complete the final two dates next week, and added that they would be taking some time off after the tour as “they have been on the road for a long time, but there are no plans for an indefinite hiatus”. So fans may have a long wait ahead for a follow up to 2008’s ‘Day & Age'.
