The Libertines have held secret rehearsals ahead of announcing a reunion that is rumoured to feature this summer’s Reading and Leeds festival.
The line up for the August event is to be announced tonight (March 29th) and will mark the first time the band have come together since Pete Doherty’s leaving back in 2004 after unsurprising drug problems.
A source told The Sun that “the four of them only agreed to it after a secret rehearsal to see it still worked. Carl is nervous about the reunion because he is worried Pete could let him down again. But Pete’s promised he will give his all for the gigs”.
Doherty’s ability to perform is naturally up in the air and we at stereoboard.com can only hope that this all goes well, especially with the chance of new material if the possible reunion is a success.
The full line up for Reading & Leeds Festival is announced tonight at 7pm...which is all very exciting.
