Country music legend and sidekick to comic-book, vampire-hunter ‘Blade’, Kris Kristofferson has announced two additional London dates to his upcoming UK and Ireland tour this summer.
The American singer and songwriter will be flying in for an extensive August tour that takes him to venues around Ireland, Scotland and now England. The new shows will take place in at the end of July with a two-night residency at Cadogan Hall in London on 28th and 29th.
Although he is the sole writer of most of his music, Kris Kristofferson has also collaborated with many other famous country voices including Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton.
Perhaps most famous for such hits as ‘Me and Bobby McGee', 'Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down', and 'Help Me Make It Through the Night', the 73 year-old has also crafted a successful acting career alongside his musical abilities. You may remember seeing him play the character ‘Whistler’ in the vampire trilogy films ‘Blade’.
Following the special recognition for his songwriting from the BMI Country Awards, in the autumn of last year Kristofferson released a new album of original material entitled ‘Closer To The Bone’. Prior to the release, the musician spoke of his latest offering of studio work saying: "I like the intimacy of the new album. It has a general mood of reflecting on where we all are at this time of life."

28th Cadogan Hall, London
29th Cadogan Hall, London
