Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne has announced two intimate shows at Folkstone’s Leas Cliff Hall and Oxford’s O2 Academy this summer.
Finding heavy metal pioneers Black Sabbath in the early 1970s, having been frontman for the group Ozzy has since gone on to form a highly successful solo career with his own band. Perhaps these days better recognised as MTV star of his own reality TV show ‘The Osbournes’, the days of the being the wild man of rock seem a long time ago, still Ozzy remains a heavy metal music icon.
Set to release his first album in nearly three years and his 10th studio record overall, mult-platinum selling Ozzy Osbourne will be releasing “Scream” on June 15th this year.
To coincide with the release, the singer-songwirter has scheduled two very intimate shows in the UK. Folkstone’s Leas Cliff Hall and Oxford’s O2 Academy will host the special gigs which will be the first opportunity for English fans to hear the new material from the new album.
Three years have passed since Ozzy last made an appearance on a UK stage, and its been even longer since the metal icon has played at such intimate venues.
Ozzy Osbourne will play the following UK date:
June 2010
29th Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone
July 2010
1st O2 Academy, Oxford.
Tickets are available from 10am on Friday 7th May.
