INTRODUCING: Blackchords Announce UK Tour Onslaught

Hotly-tipped Australian band Blackchords have confirmed details of UK tour dates to support their self-titled debut album.
The critically acclaimed quartet, big down under and destined for greatness, have already performed slots at Brighton's Great Escape Festival last weekend and will play Liverpool Sound City festival this week with a host of other UK shows planned over the next few weeks.
Following an overwhelmingly positive response to the album in their native Australia, Blackchords dipped their toes into European waters last autumn, where they wowed crowds with the intensity of their live performances in both France and the UK, which culminated in a headline show at The Barfly with support from fellow Aussies, Yves Klein Blue.
During this brief inaugural visit to the UK the band quickly made waves, with the video for debut single 'At World's End' play-listed on MTV2 and NME Radar TV while Kerrang! Radio's Alex Baker made them his featured artist of the week proclaiming "LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Blackchords!"
The plaudits continued with both Record Of The Day and Q Online making At World's End track of the day. "You'll be won over after one listen. Imagine Interpol with their top button undone." (Q Online)
Since returning to Oz, the band have spent the long Australian summer touring and winning over crowds with their dynamic textured sounds which continue to win favorable comparisons with the likes of Ryan Adams, Elbow and Jeff Buckley.
The Blackchords sound, crafted by lead singer and song-writer Nick Milwright, has been influenced by his diverse life experiences both as a soldier and then incredibly as a ballet dancer, training at one of Australia top dance schools. Unbelievably, it wasn't until he was in his twenties that he felt ready to open his mouth and sing. Blackchords was born and they signed to Dust Devil Music in 2008.
Fast-forward to summer 2010 and Blackchords are ready to take the UK by storm. Blackchords new single 'Pretty Little Thing', the infectious second single to be taken from the debut self-titled album, is out on June 14th through Dust Devil Music.
