Gobby, British rock icon Liam Gallagher has ruled out any appearance in the forthcoming Beatles biopic.
The Beatles were a huge point of fascination for Oasis. While the Manchester band often bitched about nearly every other group on the planet, the Fab Four were strictly off-limits for any form of criticism from the band.
Written by Richard DiLello, ‘The Longest Cocktail Party’ is an insider’s account of life at Apple Records. Formed by The Beatles, Apple undertook some outrageous projects blending art with music and achieving some outlandish results.
Set to be transformed into a film later this year, it has been recently rumored that singer Liam Gallagher was to star in the film. Since the emergence of such rumors, speaking to a press conference in Cannes, Liam Gallagher denied any move into an acting career.
"I'm not going into films, this is the last thing for me," he claimed. "I mean I'm not going to get sucked into that. I'm going to do this one thing because I like it, and I've got the opportunity to do it, and Andrew's (Eaton) going to make it happen, and that's it."
With Gallagher recently forming a new production company with In 1, the team currently working on the biopic, the news had fans speculating that Liam would appear in the film himself, something the singer responded with, "I'm too good looking."
In other Beatles news, a re-make of ‘Yellow Submarine’ is expected to be released later this year containing a variety of songs by The Beatles. Sadly however, despite all of this activity, there is still no news on a re-mastered, expanded edition of ‘Let It Be’.
‘The Longest Cocktail Party’ is set for release later this year.
