Fans urge Rihanna to Pon De Replay as she plays her final 'Last Girl on Earth' tour dates in Glasgow, Dublin and Belfast...
The incredible R’n’B sensation born in Barbados, brings her UK tour to its climax with final dates in Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin. Rihanna’s third studio album, 'Good Girl Gone Bad' propelled the singer, songwriter and model to new levels of stardom in 2007, with five top 10 singles and nine Grammy Award nominations.
Her fourth studio album, 'Rated R', was released on November 2009, and peaked at number four on the Billboard 200. The albums first three singles, ‘Russian Roulette’, ‘Hard’ and ‘Rude Boy’ peaked within the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100, with ‘Rude Boy’ peaking at number one. With an endless portfolio of chart topping hits it’s no wonder Rihanna’s Last Girl on Earth tour has been such an incredible sell-out success.
Rihanna has had a phenomenal year to date, receiving two Grammy Awards for Jay-Z's 2009 single ‘Run This Town’ back in January and released her latest single ‘Te Amo’ on 24th May, peaking inside the top 20 in the UK Singles Charts. Rihanna also announced her intention to duet with JLS in late 2010.
The superstar revealed ‘they can sing, they can dance, they look good, actually they look very good’. This move is part of the bands latest quest to conquer America and is said to have been organised by her manager and music legend, Jay-Z. Rihanna commented ‘under his management, I think JLS will probably be the biggest band in the world’.
