UK hit machine Dizzee Rascal has been asked to stand in for U2 at next month’s Glastonbury Festival, if Bono is unable to recover from an injury.
The Irish band were set to headline the opening night of the festival on Friday June 25th, but Bono was forced to undergo emergency surgery last week after hurting his back during rehearsals. The incident meant that band had to cancel the opening date of their 360 Degree Tour in the U.S’s Salt Lake City on June 3rd.
The Sun have reported that the Eavis’ have fixed up and looked sharply at Dizzee to “step up to the plate” if the sunshadey twat is not recovered by the event. It is also reported that Michael Eavis has apparently inquired after Coldplay to help out.
We at Stereoboard rather feel that Glastonbury goers have simply struck gold with this news, as Dizzee Rascal is quite simply brilliant live. So sit this one out Bono...we’d rather go bonkers.
