Formed in 2007, the band released their debut album, 'Why There Are Mountains', in 2009, which led to them signing to Barsuk Records, who put out their second, 'Lenses Alien', in 2011, and third, 'Lose', in 2014. The band released their latest album, 'Pretty Years', in September 2016 via Sinderlyn. Cymbals Eat Guitars are set to play a trio of UK shows in February 2017.
