Death From Above 1979 are a rock band from Ontario, Canada.
Consisting of of Sebastien Grainger on lead vocals and drums alongside bassist/synth-player Jesse F. Keele, the band formed in 2001 and quickly gained a cult following after the release of their first studio album, 2004's 'You're A Woman, I'm A Machine', but split in 2006. The duo returned in 2011 and have dropped a further three records to date, the latest being 2021's 'Is 4 Lovers'. Death From Above 1979 will celebrate the 20th anniversary of 'You're A Woman, I'm A Machine' with a UK tour in July 2024, ahead of a North American trek in the fall.
