The Eurovision Song Contest is an international, televised song competition, held annually in the winning city of the previous year.
First held in 1956, it has gone on to become one of the world's most watched non-sporting events, with hundreds of millions of viewers across the globe. It responsible for launching a number of artists to superstardom, including ABBA, Celine Dion, and Olivia Newton-John and, more recently, Maneskin, Daði Freyr and Sam Ryder. 2023's competition will be held in the UK, who placed second in 2022.
