James Arthur is a singer-songwriter from Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire.

Beginning his music career in 2012 after winning the ninth series of The X Factor, he went on to release his self-titled debut album in 2013, and has since followed it up with a further four studio records to date – all of which have reached the top three of the UK's Official Album Chart.

Well known for singles such as Impossible, Say You Won't Let Go and his cover of Rewrite The Stars—which features on the official Greatest Showman Reimagined soundtrack—he has become one of the most recognised faces in modern UK pop.

His fifth and most recent LP, 'Bitter Sweet Love', arrived in 2024.

James Arthur has announced a huge homecoming show at Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium on June 8, with special guests McFly and Lauran Hibberd, before a run of UK and European outdoor shows later that summer.
