John K Samson is a Canadian indie rock singer-songwriter and musician from Winnipeg, Manitoba, best known as the frontman of The Weakerthans and bass player for Propagandhi.
Starting his music career as a member of Propagandhi and later formed The Weakerthans. He released his debut solo album, ‘Provincial’, via ANTI- in 2012, which was nominated for the Polaris Music Prize. He released his second album, ‘Winter Wheat’ in October 2016.
