Korpiklaani (Finnish for Wilderness Clan) are a Finnish folk metal outfit hailing from Lahti. Formed in 1993 as the Shamaani Duo, the band now consists of founding member Jonne Järvelä alongside guitairst Kalle ‘Cane’ Savijärvi, bassist Jarkko Aaltonen, violin-player Tuomas Rounakari, accordian-player Sami Perttula, and drummer Matti ‘Matson’ Johansson.
Signed to the mighty Nuclear Blast Records, the band have released eight studio albums and continue to write, record, releasing and touring to this day, and are set to put out their latest record, ‘Kulkija’, in 2018.
