Midge Ure—real name James Ure—is a singer-songwriter and musician from Cambuslang, Scotland.

Starting his musical career in 1972, he is known for playing with a number of high-profile bands bands such as Slik, Thin Lizzy, Rich Kids and Visage as well as, of course, being the frontman of Ultravox. He is also widely recognised as the producer and co-writer for the massive charity single Do They Know It's Christmas? in 1984, going on to co-create the Live Aid benefit concert the following year.

He released his debut solo album 'The Gift' in 1985, followed by a further eight studio LPs including, most recently, 2017's 'Orchestrated'.
