Mindless Self Indulgence are an American synthpop and industrial rock outfit hailing from New York City. Formed back in 1997 by frontman Jimmy Urine, his brother and guitarist Steve, and drummer Kitty, who were later joined by bassist Lyn-Z, the band produce an eclectic style music which infuses elements of electronica, techno, and hip-hop.
Their debut album ‘Tight’ hit shelves in 1999, and was followed-up by ‘Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy’ the year after. Their third album ‘You’ll Rebel to Anything’ became their first to chart, hitting #4 in the US Indie Albums chart, while 2008’s ‘If’ hit a record high of #27 in the Billboard 200. Catch them touring their latest LP ‘How I Learned to Stop Giving a Shit and Love Mindless Self Indulgence’ in the UK in November and December 2013!
