Pavement are an indie-rock band from Stockton, California.
Formed in 1989, the band currently consists of Stephen Malkmus, Bob Nastanovich, Scott Kannberg, Steve West and Mark Ibold. They grew to become one of the most influential indie and lo-fi acts of the 90s, dropping five studio albums in their original run, selling over a million records worldwide on the way. Their final album, 'Terror Twilight' was released in 1999. The band split just after the release of their fifth record, making a brief comeback for a short tour in 2010, before disbanding again.
