Porcupine Tree are a progressive rock band from Hemel Hempstead.
Formed in 1987, the band began as a solo project for frontman Steve Wilson, and by 1993 had become a full band. They gained a cult following and released ten successful albums, dropping off the radar shortly after the release of 'The Incident' in 2009, while the members focused on other projects. In 2021, the band revealed that they would finally be releasing new music and touring again, armed with an eleventh record in the shape of 'Closure / Continuation', which arrived in 2022. Porcupine Tree will celebrate the release of their new album with a European tour in autumn 2022, including a show at London's OVO Arena Wembley. They are also set to headline Manchester's Castlefield Bowl in June 2023, as part of the Sounds Of The City concert series.
