Procol Harum are an English progressive rock band from Southend-on-Sea, Essex, currently consisting of founding member Gary Brooker, alongside guitarist Geoff Whitehorn, bass player Matt Pegg, Hammond organ player Josh Phillips and drummer Geoff Dunn.
In 1967, the band released their debut single, A Whiter Shade of Pale, which hit #1 in the UK Singles Chart and #5 in the Billboard Hot 200. The band have released eleven albums, including their self-titled debut album in 1967 and their final album before their initial split, ‘Something Magic’, in 1977. They reformed to release ‘The Prodigal Stranger’ in 1991 and their latest album, ‘The Well's on Fire’, which hit shelves in 2003. Procol Harum have rescheduled their one-off show at the London Palladium to May 2021 in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
