Quicksand are a post-hardcore band from New York City, New York.
Formed in 1990, they were one of the pioneering forces of the hardcore scene that decade. The band released two studio albums and toured with the likes of Deftones, Glassjaw, Fugazi, Rage Against The Machine and Anthrax before splitting in 1995. After briefly reuniting a handful of times, they officially made their return to music in 2012, going on to add another two LPs to their discography. Their most recent, 'Distant Populations', arrived in 2021. Quicksand will make their way to Australia for a run of headlining shows in December 2023, following a run of US dates in the fall.
