Rick Wakeman is a keyboardist and singer-songwriter from London, widely recognised for his time in the legendary progressive rock band Yes.

Starting his musical career in 1969 as a session musician, he worked with the likes of David Bowie, T. Rex, Elton John, and Cat Stevens before joining Yes in 1971. He released several albums with the band, departing and rejoining several times throughout their time.

He launched his his solo career in 1973, dropping ‘The Six Wives of Henry VIII’ that same year, and has continued to release music ever since. His latest album, 'A Gallery of the Imagination', arrived in 2023.

He has also appeared on television and radio, including presenting his own show on Planet Rock and contributing to the BBC’s Grumpy Old Men.
