Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, Sandi Toksvig is a comedian, writer and broadcaster.
She began her television career in 1982 as a presenter on the long-running Saturday morning children's show, No.73. She became a familiar face on the television comedy circuit throughout the 1980s and '90s, appearing as a panellist on Call My Bluff, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Mock the Week, QI, and Have I Got News for You, among others. Though Toksvig has enjoyed great critical and commercial success via an abundance of writing, broadcasting and acting projects over the past few decades, she became well known as a co-presenter of Channel 4's reboot of The Great British Bake Off between 2017 and 2019. She also took over as the host of comedy show QI in 2016. Due to COVID-19, Sandi Toksvig is in the process of rescheduling her National Trevor Tour of the UK to spring and summer 2022.
