Sepultura are a groove metal band from Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Formed in 1984, they are widely considered to be pioneers of groove and thrash metal, remaining an underground band that rose slowly but steadily through the ranks as the years and albums went by. They released their debut album 'Morbid Visions' in 1986, and have put out a further 15 albums, with their latest and final full-length studio record, 'Sepulquarta', arriving in 2021. Sepultura will take their farewell tour, billed the Celebrating Life Through Death: European Farewell Tour, across the UK and Europe in November 2024.
