Shakka is a singer-songwriter and music producer from Notting Hill, London.
Creating a unique and eclectic brand of music, he pulls influence from an assortment of genres, from hip-hop to reggae, from indie-pop to soul. Starting his music career in 2009, he self-released his debut EP ‘Foolishness’ that same year, but started to gain fans all over the world after he began posting covers to YouTube. From there, he featured on Wretch 32's single Blackout in 2013, and put out a second EP—2013's ‘Tribe’—catching the attention of RME Records in the process. Dropping his major label debut 'The Lost Boys' in 2015, he now boasts a discography of four EPs, a mixtape, seven non-album singles and, most recently, a full-length album in the shape of 2021's 'Road Trip To Venus'. Having already won a MOBO Award for Best R&B/Soul Act, performed at Glastonbury and toured with Basement Jaxx, it seems this is only the beginning for Shakka.
