Swervedriver are an English alternative/indie rock outfit hailing from Oxford. Formed in 1989, the band currently consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Adam Franklin, vocalist and guitarist Jim Hartridge, drummer Mikey Jones and bass duties fall to either Mick Quinn or Ben Ellis.
Known for their shoegaze-style alt-rock, which was considered a lot heavier than what their peers at the time were producing, Swervedriver would go on to define a sound that encompassed elements of psych rock, pop and indie, a sound that you'd only ever hear on a Swervedriver record. Though their albums never reached the heights of the UK Top 10, the band would amass somewhat of a cult following in the 1990s, a period which saw them release four studio albums before their split in 1998. Having reunited for tours and live shows ten years later, Swervedriver would unveil their first new single in 2013, and put out their first LP since '98, 'I Wasn't Born to Lose You', in March 2015. The band returned with new album 'Future Ruins' in January 2019, and after UK tour dates heads to Australia in September 2019. Check below to find tickets through Stereoboard.
