The Cockney Rejects are an English punk rock outfit hailing from London’s East End. Formed in 1978, the band consists of brothers Jeff and Mick Geggus on vocals and guitar respectively alongside bassist Tony Van Frater and drummer Andrew Laing.
All keen West Ham supporters (you’ll most likely catch them performing their hit cover version of I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles at live gigs!), the band have become an iconic punk rock name over the years, especially thanks to their track Oi! Oi! Oi! - which even spawned its own eponymous punk subgenre. Their debut album was released in 1980, jokingly titled 'Greatest Hits Vol 1'. They released three more in the next year, 1981's 'The Power And The Glory' seeming to try and broaden its approach, with acoustic guitars and a more melodic orientation. After five more albums through the 1990s and 2000s, the Cockney Rejects released their latest album 'East End Babylon' in 2014. They still together and performing to this day, the Cockney Rejects play November 2018 UK dates, then headline Dublin’s Button Factory in February.
