The Dismemberment Plan are an American indie-rock outfit hailing from Washington, D.C. Formed on New Year's Day in 1993, the band - consisting of Eric Axelson, Jason Caddell, and Travis Morrison, who founded the group in college, as well as Joe Easley - released their first albums, '!' and 'The Dismemberment Plan is Terrified', in the mid-90s, but their breakthrough came with third record 'Emergency & I'.
Known for their energetic live shows and blistering performances, the band found major critical acclaim with that album and began touring across the world. Also finding success with next album 'Change', the band then split in 2003. Performing one reunion show in 2007, the band then returned for good in 2010, once again hitting the tour bus - and this time the studio too.
