The Drums are an American indie-pop band from Brooklyn, New York, now fronted by solo artist Jonny Pierce.

Formed in 2008, the band released their debut EP, ‘Summertime!’, in 2009, and were later nominated for the BBC Sound of 2010. Their self-titled debut album arrived in 2010, and reached #16 on the UK's Official Albums Chart.

It was followed by ‘Portamento’ in 2011, ‘Encyclopedia’ in 2014, 2017's ‘Abysmal Thoughts’ and 2019's 'Brutalism'. Their sixth LP, 'Jonny', was released in October 2023 via ANTI- Records. They also put out the compilation, 'Mommy Don't Spank Me', in 2021.

The band have headlined their own shows and tours across the US and UK, as well as having supported the likes of Florence and the Machine, and Kings of Leon.

The Drums will return to Australia for the first time in 10 years in February 2024 with headlining shows lined up in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide. Catch them live by checking out tour dates and ticket information below on Stereoboard.
