The Postal Service are an electronic indie band from California, consisting of Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello.
Formed in 2001, the two create a unique brand of electronic music which found them major success in the early noughties, with the band’s debut—and only—album ‘Give Up’ earning a platinum certification having sold over 1,000,000 copies worldwide. The record and its lead single, Such Great Heights, have gone on to become cult classics. The Postal Service will celebrate 20 years of 'Transatlanticism' and 'Give Up' with a run of co-headline shows with Gibbard's side project, Death Cab For Cutie, in August 2024, including a performance as part of All Points East Festival in London. The same show will also tour North America in spring 2024, when the band also headline California's Just Like Heaven Festival.
