Bastille are an indie-pop band from South London.
Formed in 2010—initially as a solo project of frontman Dan Smith—they released their debut single Flaws that same year, which was an instant hit. Their first full-length album ‘Bad Blood’ followed in 2013, which contained arguably their most successful single, Pompeii, and catapulted the band further into stardom. They have since put out a further three albums, and are due to drop their fifth LP, '&', in October 2024. Bastille will celebrate the release of their new album with a handful of special, intimate shows across Europe and North America in November 2024, including a stop at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire. Bad Blood, remixes and rarities!
Inverness Ironworks on October 28 2013
Absolutely brilliant performance at the Ironworks which was a perfect little venue for the show. Dans voice soared across the venue as they played a lot of the material featured on their outstanding debut album Bad Blood. To beef up the set list they also gave us a few remixes and rarities that dont often get the live treatment. Definitely one of the best live bands in the UK right now, surely they muct feature on most End Of Year lists. Go see them if you get chance!

Living up to the hype and more...
Birmingham O2 Academy on November 3 2013
I had heard a lot of good things about Bastille, especially their love show. I really love the album so decided to go check them out on stage. Absolutely fantastic. The really lived up to the hype around them. During one of the songs lead singer Dan Smith performed the entire song within the crowd which is something I've never seen before! So talented and clearly enjoy what they are doing. They looked like they were having fun and so did we!

Cant wait for that second album
London O2 Academy Brixton on October 17 2013
It appears London band Bastille cannot put a foot wrong. They have entertained thousands while on the road and their chart-topping debut album 'Bad Blood' has spawned a string of hugely catchy synth-pop songs.
A gig like this was always on the cards and the milestone show saw Bastille reinforce their growing reputation as one of the biggest British bands of the year. With just the one album under their belt, the four-piece were somewhat limited in their set, however, highlights did include a cover of City High's song What Would You Do, as well as an encore rendition of Corona's 90s megahit Rhythm Of The Night. I cant wait for album number 2! Roll on 2014!
