Last Updated: 25 Jul 2024 11:01am
The Streets are a hip hop, garage and electronic outfit based in Birmingham, fronted by Mike Skinner.

Originally formed in 1994, they rose to prominence in the early 2000s and went on to become one of the UK Underground's flagship acts, bridging the gap between the gritty garage scene and the mainstream.

Putting out their cult classic debut 'Original Pirate Material' in 2002, they reached #1 with their next two albums: 2004's 'A Grand Don't Come for Free' and 2006's 'The Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living'. They remained incredibly popular for their next two records, until Skinner called time on The Streets in 2011.

The group reformed in 2018, with a new mixtape in the shape of 'None Of Us Are Getting Out Of This Alive' arriving in 2020, followed by their next studio album, 'The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light', in 2023.

The Streets' Centenary Square Summer Series show in August 2024 has been moved to the O2 Academy Birmingham. They will also headline Halifax's Piece Hall that same month. Catch them live by checking tour dates and ticket information below via Stereoboard.
