The Toronto Raptors are a Canadian basketball team based out of Toronto, Ontario. Founded in 1995, they were one of two Canadian teams invited to join the NBA, though they remain the only team now from there, with Vancouver's Grizzlies moving to Memphis.
Struggling in their earlier years as many new franchises do, the Raptors would enjoy success after Vince Carter joined, leading to three consecutive playoff-reaching seasons at the start of the millennium. They've gone on to win two division titles - once in 2007 and more recently in 2014.
