Accept are a German heavy metal outfit hailing from Solingen. Formed way back in 1968 by frontman Udo Dirkschneider, guitarist Wolf Hoffmann and bassist Peter Baltes, the band now consists of Hoffmann and Baltes alongside new vocalist Mark Tornillo, longtime second guitarist Uwe Lewis, and drummer Christopher Williams.
A pioneer of the thrash and speed metal genres - especially in their home-country Germany - Accept are recognised as a big player in the metal world, having sold 17million albums worldwide. Best known for tracks like Balls to the Wall, they’re still doing their thing to this day, and put out their latest LP, ‘Blind Rage’, in August 2014. Catch them live in London in December 2015!
