GZA, real name Gary Grice, is an American rapper and songwriter from Brooklyn, New York. He is best recognised as a member of Wu-Tang Clan, in which he's known as the 'spiritual head'.
As well as his incredible career with them, he also has made a name for himself as a successful solo star. Released in 1995, the seminal 'Liquid Swords' is regarded as one of the greatest hip hop records of all time. His discography now hosts a total of six studio albums, which includes a collaborative record with DJ Muggs and, his most recent serving, 'Pro Tools' in 2008. A new album, 'Dark Matter', has been in the works for several years, with no confirmed release date. GZA has announced a full live band show at Dreamland Margate on August 18, 2023, during which he'll play Wu-Tang Clan classics plus 'Liquid Swords'.
