Formed 1983, it today attracts around 30,000 people, who come for the range of music including pop, world music, classical, jazz, blues, as well as art, comedy and gastronomy. With the festival getting a revamp in 2015, it has seen performances from the likes of Jessie J, Lionel Richie, Laura Mvula, Gregory Porter, Gipsy Kings,Spandau Ballet and Elton John.
