Uli Jon Roth is a guitarist from Düsseldorf, Germany.
Most famous for being guitarist in the rock band Scorpions, he is one of the earliest contributors to the neoclassical metal genre, releasing four albums with the band between 1974 and 1977. After his departure in 1978, he became part of several other projects overt the years that followed, also composing four symphonies and two concertos, performing with symphony orchestras throughout Europe. As a solo artist, he has put out 10 studio, live and compilation albums to date, with the most recent being 'Tokyo Tapes Revisited - Live In Japan' in 2016, as well as performing alongside the likes of Joe Satriani, Michael Schenker and Brian May.
