Ultimate Painting are a British indie band based in London, consisting of James Hoare and Jack Cooper.
Formed in 2014, the band released their self-titled debut album, which was followed by 'Green Lanes' in 2015 and ‘Dusk’, in September 2016, via Trouble In Mind Records, which they supported with a UK tour and North America dates. The band have headlined their own shows and tours across the UK including supporting the likes of Parquet Courts, Twerps and White Fence. In February 2018, Ultimate Painting announced their split. The band's Jack Cooper took to their social media accounts to break the news and confirm that their new record, and Bella Union debut, 'Up!', had been scrapped.
