UNKLE is a project from James Lavelle, an electronic musician from London.
Started in 1992, Lavelle has enlisted several other producers and musicians over the years to participate in the project, which have included DJ Shadow and Toshio Nakanishi, and has collaborated on tracks with the likes of Radiohead's Thom Yorke, Nick Cave, Mike D of Beastie Boys, Badly Drawn Boy, Richard Ashcroft, Robert Plant and Metallica bassist Jason Newsted. He has put out five studio albums to date, with the latest being 'The Road: Part I' in 2017, as well as countless other compilations, remix records and more.
