Young Kato is an English alternative pop band from Cheltenham, consisting of frontman Tommy Wright alongside guitarists Jack Edwards and Joe Green, drummer Sam Henderson, keyboard player Harry Steele, and bassist Joe Lever.
Formed in 2011, the band released their self-titled debut EP in 2012, which led to them performing in the first episode of the fifth season of ‘Made in Chelsea’. Following a spring 2014 UK tour and a headline London show in the summer Young Kato went on to put out their debut album, 'Don't Wait 'Til Tomorrow, in 2015, supporting it with a lengthy UK tour that same month. The band announced their split in early 2017. Young Kato are set to play a farewell show at London’s Olso in June.
